Tucson, AZ (February 5, 2015) – JCK Tucson opened on Monday, bringing more new buyers to experience its posh backdrop at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa. Retailers passing through have included Ben Bridge Jewelers, Seattle, WA, Lee Michaels Jewelers, Baton Rouge, LA, Smithworks Fine Jewelry, Spartanburg, SC, Tiffany & Co, New York, NY and Underwoods, Jacksonville, FL to name few. Exhibitors reported strong buying out of the gate at JCK’s 2nd edition at Tucson Jewelry Week. The Tucson event offers buyers the convenience of seeing over 140 unique designers and brands coupled with networking events and numerous amenities in a serene environment.
With a mix of product that includes silver, fashion, men’s, bridal, gemstones and designer collections, JCK Tucson is an appealing stop for those buyers looking to plan, boost or compliment their inventory, as well as set the tone for the year ahead. The expanded Design Center in particular has attracted a lot of interest so far, housing some of the hottest trends and freshest takes from around the world.
The look and feel of the show itself has garnered much attention. In addition to new areas and improvements on the show floor, the natural beauty of the JW Marriott Starr Pass is proving a delightful host for fostering new business relationships and the myriad of networking events JCK Tucson has to offer. Still to come is the must-attend “Cocktails and Conversations” event in the Design Center from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm on Friday, February 6.
“It was a welcome change to have the AGS board hosted at JCK Tucson. The property and event served as a great backdrop for our annual Tucson meeting and exceeded our expectations. It was a great opportunity for the retailers to browse the unique and exclusive collections JCK Tucson has to offer,” commented Ruth Batson, CEO at American Gem Society.
With the vibe positive and the numbers strong heading into Day 5, many brands are happy to be kicking off the year with a JCK event in Tucson.
“We’re seeing new buyers from all over the country, all over the world in fact,” said Jordan S. Schantz of Jordan Scott Designs Ltd. “And what a fantastic venue for an event! It’s a welcome respite from a New York winter.”
